The role:
We are seeking either an experienced Advertising Agency Sales Manager or asuccessful ad agency sales person looking to take their first step into management, to help with
the continuing expansion of the UK’s fastest growing job board.
The sales department is key to their continued success and as such we’re looking for a candidate who will drive the team forward.
Reporting in to the Regional Sales Director, you will contribute to the commercial strategy to ensure that business targets are achieved and will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing thebusiness relationships and commercial partnerships with the important client base of Recruitment Media Advertising Agencies.
Responsibilities:
Effectively manage a team, prioritising workloads and ensuring results are delivered Producing and executing development plans for each team member and providing support and performance feedback as required. Ensure that sales activity is in line with the commercial strategy in order to meet business objectives and targets. Produce a monthly report, focusing on, but not limited to, activity within the month, as well as showing progress towards targets. Lead by example – you will carry your own personal sales target as well as a team target to achieve each month. Direct the sales team and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth. Continually review individuals’ progress towards sales targets and KPIs, providing support where members of the team are not exceeding targets
About you:
Proven track record in delivering sales and directing a highly skilled, motivated, successful and results orientated sales team
Ability to create a strong team spirit: showing the way, supporting your team and enjoying collective, as much as personal, achievement
Essential Criteria:
Understanding sales pipelines and how to develop from prospecting to sale and beyond
A self-starter, who thrives under pressure to achieve challenging goals
Proven leadership and the ability to drive a sales team
Effective planning and organisational skills – able to juggle, prioritise and manage
Able to build and maintain internal and external relationships
A background in B2B sales in the recruitment media advertising agency market, management experience is preferred although not essential
Adaptable selling and negotiating skills to win business and develop your team to do the same
